This test is Used to decide the in-situ thickness of fine-grained compacted soil. The test comprises in digging a gap into the ground and then collect, dry and weight the examined soil. The gap is then loaded with dry sand from the cone holder. The device comprises of a twofold metal cone, one plastic 5 litres jostle and a metal plate with focus gap. Size of the cone is 6½" (165.1mm) On asking for 12" (305 mm) Sand Density Cone Apparatus is likewise provided at an additional cost.
